Angus McBee is a handsome, pale and gracious gardener from the country. His life is going nowhere until he meets Mildred Smith, a strong, plane woman with a passion for star gazing.



Angus takes an instant disliking to Mildred and the deranged and stingy ways she learned during her years in Ohio.

However, when a shark tries to badmouth Angus, Mildred springs to the rescue. Angus begins to notice that Mildred is actually rather daring at heart.

But, the pressures of Mildred's job as a navigator leave her blind to Angus's affections and Angus takes up football to try to distract himself.

Finally, when hungry teacher, Sally Gilbert, threatens to come between them, Mildred has to act fast. But will they ever find the magical love that they deserve?
