Time Dilation Formula
In a high-tech time travel experiment, scientists have derived a time dilation formula: t' = t / √(1 - v^2/c^2). If a spaceship is traveling at 80% of the speed of light (c) and experiences 5 hours on board, calculate how much time passes on Earth (t') during the same journey.

Campus Halloween
by Doc Miller

Chapter 1: A Night of Enchantment

The autumn leaves rustled underfoot as Lucas, a college student with a penchant for adventure, strolled through the campus with his friends, Emma and Alex. Halloween night had arrived, casting a magical spell over the university grounds. The moon hung low, cloaked in an eerie mist, and the air was thick with the scent of fallen leaves and pumpkin spice.

"I can't believe we're doing this," Lucas said, clutching a mysterious old book he'd found hidden in the dusty corners of the library. "This is supposed to be the real deal, guys. It's said to be possessed by the spirit of a doctor who used to teach here."

Emma, with her wild imagination and a penchant for anything supernatural, was intrigued. "Come on, Lucas. It's Halloween! What better night to unleash restless spirits?"

Alex, the ever-practical voice of reason, chuckled. "I can't believe we're humoring you on this, Lucas. But hey, it's all in good fun, right?"

With nervous excitement, the trio made their way to an abandoned widow's house on the outskirts of the campus. The house was shrouded in vines, its windows dark, and its aura foreboding. Inside, the musty scent of age filled the air as they gathered around a creaky wooden table illuminated by flickering candles.

Lucas placed the old book in the center, its leather-bound cover worn with time. He flipped it open to a page filled with ancient symbols and incantations. With a dramatic flourish, he began to read aloud. "By the power of Halloween night, we summon thee, spirit of the doctor, to reveal thy secrets!"

The room suddenly grew colder, and a gust of wind blew out the candles. They exchanged nervous glances, but before they could react, the room began to glow with an eerie light. The book seemed to come to life, and the words on its pages danced in an otherworldly script.

Chapter 2: The Enchanted Widow

As the strange phenomenon unfolded, a spectral figure materialized before them. The widow's ghostly form shimmered in the dim light. Her ethereal eyes brimmed with sadness, and her voice quivered as she spoke. "You have awakened me, and now I am bound to this plane."

Lucas stammered, "We didn't mean to—"

Emma interrupted, "Wait, you're the widow of the doctor, right? The one who wrote that book?"

The spirit nodded, her translucent form wavering. "Yes, I am Eliza, and my husband was Dr. Elias Alden. His spirit inhabits that cursed tome."

Lucas couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt. "We didn't know what we were doing, Eliza. Is there anything we can do to help you?"

Eliza's spectral form seemed to brighten at the prospect of assistance. "My husband's restless spirit can only find peace if his life's work is completed. The book must be destroyed, and the knowledge within must be passed down to those who can use it for good."

The group exchanged determined looks and agreed to undertake this daunting task. Together, they set out to decipher the book's arcane contents, a journey filled with laughter and humorous conversations. They poured over cryptic diagrams, chanted spells, and debated the meanings of archaic words late into the night.

Chapter 3: A Love Enchanted

As the days turned to weeks, Lucas, Emma, and Alex grew closer to each other, bonding over their shared quest. In the process, Lucas and Emma discovered a deep connection, their hearts intertwining like the ivy vines that adorned the widow's house.

One crisp November evening, they huddled around a blazing bonfire, the flames casting dancing shadows upon their faces. The scent of roasting marshmallows mingled with the crisp autumn air 🎃.

Emma gazed at Lucas with a mischievous grin. "Lucas, do you remember that first Halloween night when you dragged us into this mess?"

Lucas chuckled. "How could I forget? We went from clueless students to amateur occultists in one night."

Alex added, "But hey, it's been quite an adventure. Who would've thought we'd be here, forging friendships and battling restless spirits together?"

Under the starry sky, Lucas and Emma's fingers brushed, and they shared a knowing smile. It was a moment of enchantment, their hearts drawn together by the supernatural forces at play.

As the final pages of the cursed book were deciphered, and its secrets unraveled, they felt a sense of fulfillment. They had brought closure to the widow's spirit and helped Dr. Elias Alden find peace in the afterlife.

In the end, the three friends vowed to keep the knowledge contained within the book safe, using it only for good. And as they strolled back to campus under the harvest moon's glow, they knew that they had not only vanquished a restless spirit but had found love and friendship in the most unexpected of places.
