The Miller Report 10292026
Miller's Mysteries Blog
• Welcome to Miller's Mysteries Blog, where autumnπ has taken over Southington and apparently forgot to bring an instruction manual. The seasonable weather is perfect for getting out, seeing the sights, and pretending we understand why the leavesπ change color. We are looking forward to Calendar House shows, AMC movies, dining at local restaurants, shopping, and decorating for autumnππ. Along the way, we may encounter visiting wildlife checking out the neighborhood. The goatsπ will probably be looking in, and the cats ππ will almost certainly be looking outπ⬛, because apparently everyone needs to know what everyone else is doingπΎ. That is just another normal day in the mysterious world of Southington.π

There once was a ghost from the night,
Who gave all the pumpkins a fright.
He tripped on a broom,
Went crashing through gloom,
And screamed when he saw his own light! ππ»
Bigfoot News
Connecticut: Bigfoot in Pachaug State Forest!
This one is particularly interesting for us.
On July 5, 2026, a Rhode Island man reported seeing an enormous, upright, hairy creature crossing a road in Voluntown, Connecticut.
The witness estimated its height at approximately 8–8½ feet.
The Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization classified the report as Class A.

• The Reader
Colleen was sitting at her desk at home around 9:00 on a Sunday morning, becoming more comfortable with Mindmyst Tales Blog. A clean sheet of paper and a blue pencil were positioned neatly beside her keyboard. She had a large mug of hot coffee and two oatmeal cookies waiting for her. The morning sunlight made the desk feel bright and inviting. Colleen began taking notes, but soon she was adding her own ideas in the margins. She laughed when she realized she had been reading for nearly an hour. Apparently, Mindmyst Tales Blog had successfully stolen her morning.

• Math of the Week πππ’
Trish and Chris: Halloween Week Math Challenges
1. The Great Pumpkin Purchase (Algebra)
Trish and Chris visited a local pumpkin farm on Saturday. Trish purchased three large pumpkins and two small pumpkins for a total of $34. Chris bought two large pumpkins and three small pumpkins for $31.
If all large pumpkins cost the same amount and all small pumpkins cost the same amount, what is the price of each size pumpkin?
2. The Halloween Candy Mystery (Percentages)
Chris bought a 5-pound bag of assorted Halloween candy. During the first two days, he and Trish gave away 35% of the candy to neighborhood children. On Halloween night, they distributed another 40% of the original amount.
How many pounds of candy remained after Halloween night?
3. Decorating the Haunted House (Geometry)
Trish and Chris decided to decorate a rectangular room for their Halloween party. The room measures 24 feet long and 18 feet wide. They want to hang orange and black streamers around the entire ceiling perimeter.
If each package contains 15 feet of streamers, how many packages must they purchase to decorate the entire room?
4. The Halloween Hayride (Distance, Rate, and Time)
Trish and Chris organized a Halloween hayride through the countryside. The tractor traveled at an average speed of 8 miles per hour for the first 30 minutes and 6 miles per hour for the next 45 minutes.
How many total miles did the tractor travel during the hayride?
5. The Mystery of the Halloween Candy Bowl (Probability)
Chris filled a large bowl with 50 pieces of candy. There were 15 chocolate bars, 12 peanut butter cups, 13 caramel candies, and 10 pieces of licorice.
Trish closed her eyes and randomly selected one piece of candy.
What is the probability that she selected either a chocolate bar or a peanut butter cup? Express your answer as a fraction, decimal, and percentage.

• Joe & Chantal Investigate πΈπ️
Joe said, "Welcome back, Chantal. Ready for another investigation?"
Chantal said, "Always, Joe! Where are we headed today?"
Joe said, "We're following another eyewitness report. It starts with an ordinary day but ends with something very unusual in the sky."
Chantal said, "Now you've got my attention! Do we know what the witness saw, how long it lasted, or whether anyone else witnessed the event?"
Joe said, "That's exactly what we're going to find out. So grab your microphone, Chantal. I've got my notebook ready. Let's follow the evidence wherever it leads!"
Nick Eyewitness Report
·
Valentines day 2025, 4pm, A small drone like vehicle flew up to my house last year stopped 50 ft from my deck, hovered/buzzed like a small hobby drone just at level of powerlines staring at me on my side deck as I smoked a cigarette. I seen it pop up from over the trees a couple blocks away and It literally made a bline for me and my house.
I literally thought it was a weirdo with a drone filming me or something, just being a creep. It creeped me out but then out of nowhere it started ascending and going backwards at same time and as it ascended higher and higher above the powerlines and as it ascended, this tiny drone LITERALLY GREW LARGER, LONGER, FATTER AND WIDER AND IT STARTED LITERALLY GROWING ENGINES AND AIRPLANE WINGS OUT THE CENTER/SIDES OF IT.
IM LIKE WTF GROWS LARGER AS IT GETS HIGHER IN THE AIR AND FURTHER AWAY??!! THATS THE OPPOSITE OF OPTICAL ILLUSIONS, OBJECTS THAT GET FURTHER AWAY GET SMALLER, NOT LARGER, WTF IS GOING ON??!!
the center of it almost looked like dark distorted fuzzy liquid yet solid looking clean ass dark blue airplane engines and dark blue airplane wings formed and grew out the sides of this dark blue cigar shaped drone/craft.
It stopped buzzing as it grew larger and ascended to about 200 ft before the wings grew longer and longer.
Once it was done growing and forming the engines and airplane wings, it still didn't even look like an airplane, it was so flat and missing entire top half/roof of airplane, it looked like entire top half of airplane was missing completely, then the suns reflection shined at the nose of the airplane and the top half/roof of the airplane literally formed its shape as the suns reflection dragged from nose to tail.
What looked like Fresh ass high polished Yellow paint appeared and Blacked out tinted windows/windshield appeared at nose of aircraft after the suns reflection hit it.
Its literally like it used the bright reflection of sunlight to cloak and form windows and shape a yellow top half of aircraft. As the suns reflection dragged from nose to tail, the ALL YELLOW top half of airplane essntially became fully formed with BLACKED OUT WINDOWS, AND DARK BLUE HIEROGLYPH SYMBOL NEAR FRONT RIGHT HAND SIDE OF AIRCRAFT. Not joking, a fucking dark hieroglyph symbol and tintrd windows/windshield appeared on front of aircraft after the entire front section was formed
AND WHEN SUNS REFLECTION HIT THE TAIL, THE TAIL FORMED its entire shape AND TURNED FROM HALF INVISIBLE/HALF DARK BLUE TO HALF YELLOW/HALF RED TAIL WITH DARK BLUE UNDERBELLY OF AIRCRAFT.
When it was done GROWING AND SHAPESHIFTING, IT WAS 200 FT IN THE AIR, AT LEAST 100-150 FT ALTITUDE, it was like 100-150 ft ABOVE POWERLINES, AND IT WAS NO LONGER A SMALL HOBBY DRONE LOOKING THING
IT WAS 20 FT LONG ALL YELLOW AIRPLANE WITH DARK BLUE UNDERBELLY, BLACKED OUT WINDOWS, HALF RED TAIL AND A DARK BLUE HIEROGLYPHIC LOOKING SYMBOL ON THE SIDE.
IT WENT FROM THIS TINY LITTLE 3 FT DRONE WITH 2 BLUE LIGHTS TO A 20 FT ALL YELLOW COMMERCIAL LOOKING AIRPLANE WITH BIGGER LIGHTS, YET IT LOOKED LIKE A SHORTBUS VERSION OF A 747. IT WAS NOTICEABLY SHORTER THAN BOEING 747 BUT IT MIMICKED THE SAME EXACT STYLE.
after I realized what was happening, I started literally jumping up and down because that is definitely not a human aircraft lol
As it flew over my head real slow at 150-200 ft altitude, I got a long good look at it, looking for signs of life, looking for numbers/words and there was nothing but a dark blue hieroglyph symbol on it. It was fucking insane. Im like why all yellow???!!! WHY ALL YELLOW??!! You stick out like sore thumb, why that color? what airplanes are all yellow with dark blue underbelly?!! Then I remembered-DUH!!! SPIRIT AIRLINERS!!! SO I LOOKED UP CURRENT SPIRIT AIRPLANES AND THEYRE ALL YELLOW WITH DARK BLUE UNDERBELLY BUT LONGER THAN THE THING THAT MORPHED GREW LARGER AND CHANGED SHAPES/COLORS MIDAIR OUT FRONT OF MY FUCKING HOUSE!!! THEN I REALIZED HOLY SHIT!! ITS TRYING TO MIMIC A SPIRIT AIRPLANE!!!
REMEMBER, THIS IS VALENTINES DAY 2025, SPIRIT AIRLINES DID NOT SHUT DOWN AND GO OUT OF BUSINESS YET. VALENTINES DAY 2025 A FUCKING SMALL DRONE/UFO/DRADLE LOOKING THING FLEW UP TO MY HOUSE AND GREW AND MORPHED INTO AIRPLANE MIDAIR AND DID ITS BEST TO MIMIC A BOEING
747 SPIRIT AIRLINES AIRPLANE BEFORE THEY WENT OUT OF BUSINESS
IT DID IT RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY FACE LIKE IT WAS FLEXING ITS CAPABILITIES ON ME!!!
20 ft All yellow airplane with dark blue underbelly, half red tail, Blacked out tinted windows and a dark blue hieroglyph symbol
if you ever see this exact airplane, its not an airplane at all, its a shapeshifting alien ufo. Didn't see any aliens inside it, its like the fucking aircraft itself was alive and was the fucking alien.
Youre welcome. Ufos mimic airplanes and helicopters. This was literally at the time/right month after the new jersey drones were on CNN and im only like 4-6 hrs from new jersey in pasadena maryland.
Aliens mimic human aircraft and do it extremely well apparently too. Some of Their ufo's might actually be sentient/ alive/ living biological entities themselves it would seem.
This isn't a joke or sarcasm, im dead ass serious about everything and im not wrong either lol.
“Another UFO report to think about,” Joe said.
“Another mystery examined, with perhaps a few questions left unanswered,” Chantal said.
“That’s part of the fun,” Joe said. “Sometimes the evidence doesn't give us a neat little answer.”
“And that's when curiosity keeps the investigation going,” Chantal said.
Joe smiled. “Until next time, grab your coffee, look up, and maybe keep a camera handy.” ☕️πΈ
“Exactly,” Chantal said. “Keep your eyes on the sky, and we'll see you on the next Joe & Chantal Investigate.” πΈπ️

• Now, This Week's Exciting Story
The Great Halloween Mystery
Featuring Jack Dark and Emily Harper
Jack Dark was enjoying his morning coffee when Emily Harper walked into the kitchen carrying a large cardboard box covered in orange and black decorations. Jack looked at the box, then at Emily. "Please tell me that's not another Halloween decoration." Emily smiled. "Of course not. It's twelve Halloween decorations, three skeletons, two witches, and a life-sized vampire." Jack slowly put down his coffee. "I think we need a bigger house."
By Wednesday, their front yard had become a Halloween attraction. There were pumpkins on the porch, artificial spiderwebs covering the bushes, and a skeleton sitting in the driver's seat of their forest-green 2016 Mustang GT, Midnight Dark. Jack stared through the window. "Emily, why is there a skeleton driving my car?" She shrugged. "He has a better driving record than you." Jack decided not to argue.
Thursday afternoon, Emily announced that they needed one more thing for Halloween: a genuine haunted house experience. She had discovered an old abandoned farmhouse on the edge of town that supposedly came with mysterious noises, flickering lights, and unexplained footsteps. Jack grabbed his flashlight. "Sounds wonderful. Do they serve coffee?" Emily rolled her eyes. "Jack, it's a haunted house, not a Starbucks."
They arrived just before sunset. The farmhouse looked like something straight out of a horror movie. Its shutters hung crookedly, the front door creaked in the breeze, and an old wooden sign read, ENTER IF YOU DARE. Jack examined it. "That's encouraging. I wonder if they have a sign that says EXIT IF YOU'RE SCARED." Emily laughed and pushed open the door.
Inside, they heard a strange scratching noise coming from upstairs. Emily grabbed Jack's arm. "Did you hear that?" Jack nodded. "Yes. Probably a mouse." Suddenly, a loud crash came from the second floor. Jack jumped backward and nearly knocked over a decorative pumpkin. Emily looked at him. "Some fearless detective you are." Jack straightened his jacket. "I was checking the structural integrity of the staircase."
They climbed the stairs and found a bedroom with an old rocking chair moving back and forth. Beside it sat a dusty portrait of a stern-looking gentleman. Emily approached the chair cautiously. "Jack, I think we have a ghost." Jack examined the floor. "Or a very ambitious draft." Suddenly, a white figure appeared in the doorway. Emily screamed. Jack screamed louder. The figure screamed too.
A moment later, the white figure started laughing. It was a neighborhood teenager wearing a bedsheet costume. He had come to the farmhouse to film a Halloween prank video. Jack folded his arms. "Young man, you nearly scared ten years off my life." The teenager grinned. "That was the idea." Emily was still laughing when Jack announced that the boy owed them two cups of coffee and a new flashlight.
On their way home, they stopped at a pumpkin stand. Emily selected an enormous pumpkin and challenged Jack to carve the best Halloween face. Jack worked for nearly an hour, carefully cutting out two eyes, a crooked nose, and an enormous grin. Emily examined his masterpiece. "Jack, it looks just like you." He smiled proudly. "Thank you." She added, "Especially the crooked nose."
Halloween night finally arrived. Their porch was crowded with trick-or-treaters, and the skeleton in Midnight Dark had become the neighborhood celebrity. Jack handed out candy while Emily supervised the decorations. Just before midnight, they settled onto the sofa with hot chocolate and the last two pieces of chocolate candy. Jack looked at Emily and smiled. "Well, another successful Halloween." Emily leaned against him. "And not a single real ghost." From somewhere upstairs came a mysterious thump. They both froze. Jack slowly reached for his coffee mug. "Emily, next year we're decorating for Easter."

You know you're getting older when you wake up in the morning and the first thing you do is take inventory. Let's see. Two arms, two legs, ten fingers. Everything appears to be attached. Now let's see which parts actually work today. I used to wake up looking forward to the day. Now I wake up wondering what I did to deserve this.
Nobody tells you that getting older comes with sound effects. You roll over in bed and something goes SNAP, CRACKLE, POP. I thought I was getting up. Apparently, I was making breakfast for Rice Krispies.
When you're young, you jump out of bed. When you're older, you negotiate with your body. First, you move one foot. Then the other. You sit on the edge of the mattress and wait for your knees to approve the operation. Sometimes you need a committee meeting before standing up.
And what's with all the aches and pains? I went to bed feeling pretty good. I woke up feeling like somebody used me as a practice dummy for a professional wrestling match. I don't remember fighting anybody. I don't remember anybody visiting. But apparently, I lost.
The strangest part is that you can hurt yourself doing absolutely nothing. I was sitting in my recliner watching television when suddenly my shoulder started hurting. I hadn't lifted anything. I hadn't moved anything. I was just sitting there. Apparently, my shoulder was offended by the programming.
Then there's the mysterious disappearance of memory. You walk into the kitchen with a very important mission. You get there, stop, and look around. Why am I here? What was I looking for? Did somebody send me? Was there an emergency? I stand there like a tourist waiting for directions.
Sometimes I retrace my steps. I walk back into the living room, and suddenly I remember. Oh, yes! I came into the kitchen to get my coffee. Then I realize I already have a coffee cup in my hand. Apparently, the mission was completed by somebody else.
I've started making lists. Grocery lists, appointment lists, reminders, and lists of where I put the other lists. I have so many reminders on my calendar that my calendar needs a calendar to remind it what to remind me.
Technology isn't helping either. My phone keeps asking me to update my software. I would love to update my software. I just wish somebody would update my knees while they're at it. Maybe there's an app for that. Press here to eliminate arthritis. Subscription required.
Reading glasses are another adventure. I have reading glasses in the kitchen, reading glasses in the bedroom, reading glasses in the car, and reading glasses beside my recliner. I spend half my day looking for my glasses while wearing another pair of glasses.
And why do prescription labels have to be printed in microscopic letters? I need reading glasses to find my reading glasses so I can read the instructions on the bottle. By the time I finish reading the label, it's time for another cup of coffee.
Speaking of coffee, I used to drink it because I enjoyed the taste. Now it's part of my morning maintenance program. Two cups before breakfast, and I might be able to identify the day of the week. Three cups, and I can remember why I walked into the kitchen.
Getting older also changes your relationship with furniture. When I was younger, I could sit anywhere. Now I evaluate chairs like a professional furniture inspector. How high is the seat? Does it have arms? Is there a sturdy table nearby? Most importantly, can I get out of it without assistance?
Getting out of a recliner is a carefully planned operation. First, I lean forward. Then I rock backward. Then I rock forward again. Finally, I push against the armrests and make a noise that sounds like a tractor starting in January. When I finally stand up, everybody in the room applauds.
Stairs are another challenge. Going upstairs is exercise. Going downstairs is a trust exercise. I hold the railing like I'm preparing to rappel down the side of a mountain. I don't need a fitness tracker. I need a safety inspector.
I also discovered that getting older affects your fashion choices. I used to wear shoes because they looked good. Now I wear shoes because they don't hurt. If they have good support, a wide toe box, and look reasonably respectable, they're coming home with me. Fashion magazines can keep their opinions.
Shopping has become an athletic event. You walk through the supermarket, push a cart, compare prices, read labels, and try to remember what you came for. Then you get to the checkout and discover you forgot the one thing you actually needed. But you bought three things you don't recognize.
And what's with the grocery store putting everything on the bottom shelf? I used to bend down to pick things up. Now I look at something on the bottom shelf and consider whether I really need it. Sometimes the answer is no. That can of soup can stay right where it is.
Getting older also makes you appreciate a good nap. When I was young, I thought naps were for babies and grandparents. Now I consider a twenty-minute nap to be a major lifestyle achievement. I can fall asleep in a recliner faster than a teenager can answer a text message.
The problem is that you never know how long you've been asleep. You close your eyes for twenty minutes and wake up wondering whether it's Tuesday or Thursday. You look at the clock and discover you've missed an entire television program and possibly a presidential election.
Then there's the television remote. I have buttons on that thing that I don't understand. I accidentally press something and suddenly the television is speaking a language I don't recognize. I spend twenty minutes trying to get back to the weather channel. By the time I succeed, the forecast has changed.
Hearing is another interesting development. My wife can whisper something from the other end of the house, and I hear absolutely nothing. But let somebody open a bag of potato chips in the next room, and I'm suddenly wide awake. Selective hearing? I prefer to call it advanced audio technology.
And why do people talk so fast these days? I was talking to a young fellow who explained something about an online account, a password, and two-factor authentication. I nodded politely. I understood approximately four words. I finally said, "Can you write that down?" He handed me a tablet. I said, "Never mind."
Memory isn't the only thing that changes. Your priorities change, too. When you're twenty, you want excitement, adventure, and a wild night out. When you're older, you want a comfortable chair, a good meal, and a bathroom nearby. That's not a lack of ambition. That's strategic planning.
I also notice that conversations with friends have changed. We used to discuss sports, politics, cars, and beautiful women. Now we compare doctors, medications, insurance plans, and the best place to buy comfortable socks. Last week, somebody got excited because he found a great deal on compression stockings. The party was out of control.
Birthdays become interesting, too. When you're young, you count how many candles are on the cake. When you're older, you count how many candles you can safely light without setting off the smoke detector. At some point, the birthday cake needs its own fire department.
And don't ask me how old I feel. That's a complicated mathematical problem. My driver's license says one thing, my knees say another, and my memory refuses to participate in the calculation. I think the answer is somewhere between young at heart and please don't make me get up.
The good news is that getting older gives you experience. You learn not to argue about every little thing. You learn that some battles aren't worth fighting. You learn to appreciate the people who make you laugh. And you learn that a good cup of coffee can solve at least half of life's problems. The other half requires chocolate.
I've also discovered that getting older gives you permission to say exactly what you think. When you're young, you worry about what people think of you. When you're older, you realize they're probably trying to remember why they walked into the kitchen, too.
So here's my advice. Laugh at the aches and pains when you can. Enjoy your coffee. Keep your friends close, your reading glasses closer, and your television remote somewhere you can find it. And never underestimate the value of a comfortable recliner.
Getting older isn't for wimps. It's a full-time adventure with unexpected noises, disappearing memories, mysterious aches, and occasional trips to the kitchen with absolutely no idea why you're there. But if you can still laugh about it, you're doing pretty well.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go into the kitchen. I had something important to do. I just can't remember what it was. Oh, wait! I was getting coffee. That's right. I'll be back in a minute. Unless I get distracted by the recliner.

The alien spacecraft arrive at dawn, appearing above every major city simultaneously. Their pilots descend in enormous numbers and begin surrounding hospitals, schools, and government buildings. The creatures resemble gigantic insects covered in metallic shells. Their movements are coordinated as though every alien shares the same mind. Scientists discover that the spacecraft are scanning human DNA from the air. Then the creatures begin collecting samples from the ground. Trees, animals, and people are all examined by the alien machines. Nobody knows why the aliens need the genetic material. A scientist finally deciphers the spacecraft's computer display.
